Thanks to my friend, Katrina Lefever, for permission to add this picture to the “something old” for Comet.
Even sheepless, Katrina – formerly of Chicory Lane Farm in Pennsylvania – remains one of my favorite and most respected sheep buddies 🙂
The handsome two horned boy in the foreground is Marsh View Horatio, great great grandsire to Canoe Lake Comet and a son of Puddleduck Dynamite. Horatio moved from Chicory Lane to Maple Hill in Vermont. A gentle boy, Betty used to call him her peacekeeper.
Behind Horatio is his son, Skokan’s Abner – great grandsire to Comet. Abner was also known for his gentle disposition. He followed his sire to Maple Hill before heading to Springrock Farm in Tennessee.
